VISA Request

Participants can download an invitation letter upon registration. Check the links in the confirmation email from Catalyst. For specific requests of support regarding Visa applications in cases not covered by the invitation letters, please send the requests to the Local Chairs (lreccoling24-local-chairs-l@ufal.mff.cuni.cz) by email, with a valid passport number and confirmation of the accepted paper.

You cannot make a non-anonymized version of your work available from 22 September onwards, i.e. the start of the anonymity period. The anonymity period runs up to the date when your paper is either accepted, rejected, or withdrawn. The goal is to protect the integrity of double-blind review and ensure that submissions are reviewed fairly. (more information: from https://acl-org.github.io/policies/authors

The title can indeed be adapted upon acceptance of the paper.

  • Use the third person to refer to work the Authors have previously undertaken, e.g. replace any phrases like “as we have shown before” with “… has been shown before [Anonymous, 2023]” .
  • Cite papers published by the Author in the text as follows: ‘[Anonymous, 2023]’.
  • For blinding in the reference list: ‘[Anonymous 2023] Details omitted for double-blind reviewing.’
  • Remove any identifying information, including author names, from titles, data names, and file names, and ensure that document properties are also anonymized. This information will, of course, be included later in the camera-ready version

Papers should be reviewed without the need to refer to any supplementary materials, ensuring fairness in the decision on paper acceptance or rejection based on the same number of page numbers. Therefore, including appendices or supplementary material in the initial submission will result in rejection without review. Appendices or supplementary materials will only be allowed in the final, camera-ready version. You can mention in the submission that appendices will be added in the final version of the paper, but these should not me added at the time of submission.

The 1st call is the initial announcement for submissions, and the 2nd call is a later opportunity. In most cases, it’s advisable to use the latest call for papers because it typically includes the most up-to-date information and instructions.

LREC-COLING 2024 allows this. Authors submitting paper(s) to other conferences, journals or publications must indicate this at submission time. If accepted to LREC-COLING 2024, the paper(s) will have to be withdrawn from the other conference, journal or publication. Papers overlapping significantly in content or results with papers that will be (or have been) published elsewhere will not be accepted to LREC-COLING 2024.

LREC-COLING introduced a separate section for Language Resource citations to enhance the value of these assets. All published datasets mentioned in the paper shall be cited in Language Resources. Language Resource references should be listed alphabetically by the authors’ names.

Transliteration is not translation. Instead, transliteration is the conversion of letters from one script to another without translating the underlying words. The following shows a sample of transliteration systems: しんばし Translation: new bridge (district in Tokyo) Transliteration: shimbashi

Page numbers are enabled for submission to assist reviewers. In the camera-ready version, page numbers are turned off to allow typesetting to correctly number the pages. We will modify the instructions and author kit in due course, but you should use the current author kit as-is for submission.

The current Author Kit (as of 2 Oct 2023) uses a Helvetica based font called Tex Gyre Heros. Both Arial and Tex Gyre Heros renders approximately the same. We will update the author kit after submission deadline. Either font will be accepted for review.

Limitations, Ethical Considerations are not counted towards page limits. You may use extra pages for such work. Please note that neither appendices nor acknowledgments are allowed for your submission; your submission should be self-contained within the page limit.

Organizers can provide invitation letter for VISA purpose.
Please send to Chairs a valid passport and confirmation of registration payment, as soon as it will be available.
